Within 45 minutes of Boston, the Fruitland Trail Run will be a great way to start a New England fall weekend. Come out to enjoy the rolling trails of Fruitland Museum were the race is entirely on trails ranging from dirt, wooded trails to paths through nearby pastures. At races conclusion count on hot apple cider to help you rehydrate New England orchard style!
Fruitlands Museum 102 Prospect Hill Rd Harvard, MA 01451
Starting in an open field, the course makes use of the museum’s sculptures and art to weave it’s way through the opening mile. Quickly, the course funnels into a double track meadow trail that is wide enough for passing and is relatively flat. Upon entering the wooded trails, runners will encounter single and double track trails. These trails will include wooden bridges, a few down hill switchbacks, and some shorter hills to make it challenging enough for the strongest runners while still enjoyable for the casual runner. Once the larger loop is completed, the course will go back on itself for a shorter inside loop, concluding with the challenging finish to the top of Prospect Hill, soon to be a notoriously epic finish to a great fall event.
